Moores Awards for
Public Schools (MAPS)
This Corporate Social Investment project is conceived to recognize outstanding academic achievements in public schools within Lagos and by extension, other states in the country in due course. With sights firmly focused on the reward of superior scholarship in public schools, MAPS seeks to reward academic diligence as well as serve as a springboard to sustain the career of indigent students who, without special intervention or support of this nature, are unable to further their academic pursuit.
The awards shall reward selected students in junior and senior secondary classes without losing sight of the sterling contributions of a few hard-working teachers who make learning and academic development in public schools a rewarding exercise.
To ensure success and continuity in the Awards project, MAPS shall be managed by an Awards Committee comprising a team of seasoned stakeholders and mentors in education working closely with regulatory authorities to promote transparency and sustenance of the Awards.
